Skye & Hebrides cruising - the Scottish West Coast & Isles

We are now based at Plockton and will be cruising close to Skye and her islands and the mainland coasts of Wester Ross, Knoydart & Lochaber. We will welcome old and new guests to this stunning sea area where they can appreciate the grandeur, beauty and remote places of the Misty Isle from the most vivid of vantage points - the sea.

"Red Moon is unique and very special. She combines rugged North Sea capability, heritage, class, comfort and style and is a charming home to be in on the high seas regardless of the weather, as we found out the hard way in some convincing gales. She is perfect for her Western Isles cruising grounds. Worthy of note, Red Moon has the most comfortable bed and the best shower we have ever encountered on a boat. Scott and Mary manage Red Moon as a very well practiced and charming team who are a pleasure to spend time with. The whole thing is run as a bespoke experience for the guests. Nothing is too much trouble it seems, including providing delicious food. Weather permitting, the Western Isles are all yours to explore in style and we can't think of a better way to do so. We loved every minute of it, including the excellent walks ashore that Scott and Mary ensured that we managed each day. We very much look forward to doing it all again next year."

" For those that would like to cruise around the quieter parts of  the Scottish West Coast we cannot recommend Red Moon highly enough. Fantastic views of the scenery around Mull or Skye and sneaking into quiet anchorages for a walk ( if you want ) before an excellent meal  prepared by Mary. An idyllic way to see the area. Red Moon is very comfortable and stable so you should have no concerns if you are worried about your sea legs. However, beware, it's very addictive, we are already looking forward to our fouth trip which will be next year. "
